Care Essentials
A well-made cap is built to last decades — but only if you treat it right. A little care goes a long way: gentle handling, the right tools, and a proper resting place between wears. Below you'll find everything we recommend to keep your Harrington looking as sharp as the day it arrived.
Brush after every wear
A soft-bristle brush lifts dust and lint before it settles into the fabric. Always brush in one direction, following the grain.
Store it on a cap retainer
Never leave your cap crumpled in a drawer. A wooden retainer holds its shape and lets the lining breathe between wears.
Spot clean — never machine wash
Use a damp cloth and mild soap for small marks. Machine washing distorts the brim and shrinks the lining — your cap won't sit the same way again.
